Maaran Trailer Review: Dhanush And Malavika Mohanan Starrer Looks Gripping!
The social media is buzzing with the trailer of Maaran, an upcoming action thriller directed by Karthick Naren. It will feature Dhanush, who was last seen in Anand L Rai's Atrangi Re(2021). This is Dhanush's first release in 2022. The film also features Malavika Mohanan who will play Mathi Maaran's love interest. Further, we see Samuthirakani and Smruthi Venkat in the credits. The digital premiere will be on Disney+Hotstar on 11th March, 2022.

With only 10 days left for its release, a lot of expectations have been set, since it also brings in Dhanush and Sathya Jyothi Films together for another feature film. Recently the gripping trailer has been dropped, and a lot of anticipation has been built. From the trailer, it is evident that it will focus on a journalist's quest to present the truth and the pressure from the higher-ups to conceal it. Dhanush is set to play a no-nonsense journalist who falls in love with Thara, played by Malavika Mohanan.

By the looks of it, Dhanush's Character Mathi Maaran will face the challenges presented because of the nature of his job. What draws viewers in is the character which promises not just honesty but cleverness to deal with the situation. Kudos to the marketing team of this film for setting the basic premise without giving away too much, thereby creating a curiosity to watch this movie.
Karthick Naren is known for tapping into the thriller genre. His Film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru went on to become a blockbuster. Karthick Naren knows how to present stories that race against the time, and give us a good vs evil stance. This too appears to be in that bracket. This commercial thriller also features Samuthirakani, who will be seen in a negative role and challenge Dhanush's Mathi Maaran every step of the way. Maaran also reunites Dhanush and G. V. Prakash Kumar who are working together for the fifth time now. G. V Prakash Kumar is the music composer for this film. So far there are two track listings.

Maaran's trailer gives us a high stake situation, inviting us in on 11th March for a crime drama.
