Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Reveals That There Was 'No Arm-Twisting Or Domination' From Kangana's End!
The Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is doing exceptionally well at the box office and has been lauded by the masses. But the film has been surrounded by controversies since its inception with Kangana's co-director Krish hurling accusations at her and other actors in the film coming out with their concerns of their role being chopped off in the film. But Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub who stepped into the shoes of Sonu Sood and played Sadashiv Rao has no qualms with the film.

Talking to a publication, Zeeshan said, 'I shot for only six days. Kangana had clearly told me what my role would be, so I knew exactly what to expect. An actor does feel bad when his/her role is chopped, but the director has his reasons. In some of my earlier films, 90 percentof my roles have been edited. It hurts because of the time and energy you give to the project.' Zeeshan further added that he was roped in after Sonu Sood's exit from the film and when Kangana Ranaut took the reins of the direction for the film from Krish after his exit saying, 'She called me in the morning, and in the evening, I was already shooting at ND Studios. When I got on board, I was told that since Sonu Sood had grown a beard for Simmba, the look did not go with the character. Plus, there were date issues. Krish too had opted out as he was directing the NTR biopic.'
While the other actors of the film have accused Kangana for chopping off their roles from the film, Zeeshan had no such complaints from her and said, 'Things were under control. There was no arm-twisting or domination from her end.' The film is based on the bravery of Rani Laxmibai who fought against the East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

The film has already crossed 75 crore and is expected to cross 100 crore in the coming weeks. The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Jissu Sengupta and Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles.
