Nawazuddin Siddiqui Makes Manto Popular!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen portraying the title role of late writer, Saadat Hasan Manto in a film titled, Manto.
The powerhouse performer who had recently been to Jaipur Literature Festival for a session in tandem with his upcoming film which charts the life of writer Saadat Hasan Manto has made the late writer so popular that the youth has developed a huge liking for him.
Owing to Nawazuddin’s huge popularity with his recent successes and consistent acclaim for his work, the youth can well connect to the popular playwright-author and his achievements. Such has been the craze among the youth to learn more about Manto that they have started reading more about him.

The talented actor, who has been promoting biopic along with the movie director Nandita Das, has received huge response from the people at the literary festivals of Jaipur, Kolkatta and Delhi.
Nawaz has been getting a lot of feedback & response on his social media & also when he goes for these literature festivals along with Nandita Das that how they actually didn't know about Manto and after he is playing the character and speaking about it they got to know such a strong & inspiring character Manto was.
The movie will be also screened at Cannes this year.
Nawaz said, He was a big fighter for free speech. Manto had always been true and wrote what he saw around him. "The greatest challenge for me was that I was not like him. I am not like Manto. I had to listen to my director and really had to purify myself. I was so engrossed in the role of Manto that I could not think anything else and was caught in Manto's state of mind for a long time".
