While there has been immense excitement taking Excel Entertainment's upcoming sports drama Gold starring Akshay Kumar, Akshay's character Tapan Das has been creating buzz across quarters.

Tapan Das portrayed by Akshay Kumar is the manager of the Indian Hockey team who plays the most important role in forming the team and leading them to the victory. The teaser and trailer gave us glimpses of the determined manager wanting to win free India's first Gold.

While Akshay Kumar plays the manager, Kunal Kapoor plays the coach of the team. Actors Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal are seen as the players amongst others.

Excel Entertainment's sports drama starring takes the audience back in time to witness the struggle of a team to make the nation proud.

‘Gold‘ starring Akshay Kumar releases this Independence Day being the perfect Independence day release as it marks 70 years of Free India’s first Gold medal.

Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018.
