OMG! Did Janhvi Kapoor Just Ignore A Question On The Priya Prakash Varrier Starrer Sridevi Bungalow Controversy?
Well, some films are effortlessly controversy's favorite child. One such film is definitely the Priya Prakash Varrier starrer Sridevi Bungalow. The trailer of the film has received several backlash. Boney Kapoor has also slapped the makers with a legal notice as the film has an uncanny resemblance to the life and death of the legendary actress Sridevi. 

This has inevitably led to the late actress' daughter Janhvi Kapoor being quipped with many questions regarding this controversy. Janhvi attended an awards show recently where she was asked about this controversy regarding the film. Janhvi however remained tight lipped on hearing the question and chose not to answer. The team of the actress also forbade the media from asking the question. The actress then left the venue without offering any statement on the matter. 
The trailer of the film also had a scene where Priya Prakash Varrier is lying on a batthub which is quite similar to the unfortunate death of the legendary actress. The netizens are labelling the trailer as offensive. Sridevi passed away last year due to accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel which came as a huge shock to the entire nation. Priya Prakash Varrier gave a justification regarding the controversy. She said, 'Sridevi is just the name of my character in the movie. Who would want to create such controversies? I think the curiosity surrounding the trailer is good and we have to leave it to the audience to judge if the film is based on the veteran actress Sridevi ma'am.'

However things are surely turning ugly. The makers also have stated regarding the legal notice given to them by Boney Kapoor saying, 'We sent him (Boney Kapoor) a reply explaining that Sridevi was a common name and there was no logic in objecting to it. It is just a coincidence that my movie tells the tale of an actress named Sridevi.' Well, it is just a matter of time to witness the fate of this film.
