Padman Box-office Collection: Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte Starrer Opens To A Decent Start!

After mesmerising the audience with his social drama 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', Akshay Kumar is back with yet another thought-provoking film 'PadMan' that deals with menstruation and sanitary hygiene. And the film is already garnering appreciations from all quarters.
PadMan is off to a decent start, pocketing Rs. 10 crore on the opening day, tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The business picked up in the evening and the film is xpected to perform well over the weekend/ Taran Adarsh tweeted,
Akshay plays the role of a simple villager who is on a mission to create a cheap and sustainable sanitary option that his wife and other women can use during their period. The film is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which in turn is inspired from the life story of Tamil Nadu-based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham who pioneers the cause of low-cost sanitary napkins in India.
