Sahil Vaid: Got To Learn Many New Things While Shooting For My Character Of Joyraj Poddar!

It is said that the real actors have a direct line to the collective heart. One such actor who has been receiving a lot of love for each of his characters portrayed in films is none other than the talented actor Sahil Vaid. Sahil is now all set to entertain the audience with a musical webseries- ‘The Socho Project’.  The story of this unique series revolves around seven struggling musicians who are trying to navigate their way through the Indian music industry, a domain which is dominated by monopolistic labels that do not offer musicians any autonomy or originality. The viewers will see for the first time Sahil Vaid portraying the role of a exploitative music producer who has turned out to be authoritative due to circumstances.

While a lot has been said by the actors and singers on the recent debate of Insider vs Outsider in the last few weeks, the brainchild of Mrinal Jha and veteran director and serial entrepreneur Abhigyan Jha’s-The Socho Project also accentuates some real problems faced in the music industry today.  Sahil Vaid who is seen playing the role of a rich music producer shares, “One thing I must say that I don’t believe in Nepotism, as being an outsider I have tried to carve a name of my own in this industry. But having said that it needs real courage and determination to come up with such a hard-hitting story-line. I have got to learn many new things while shooting for my character of Joyraj Poddar! I am glad that finally a project has been conceptualized that sheds light on the struggles of budding and independent singers in the industry.”
