Actor Shreya Chaudhry, who played the female lead role in The Mehta Boys, was brimming with excitement for the world premiere of the film. Reflecting on the event, she said, “I was absolutely thrilled to head to Chicago for the South Asian Film Festival, especially since our film, The Mehta Boys, had its world premiere on the opening night! It was an absolute honor to have our work showcased on such a prestigious platform, and it was incredibly fulfilling to receive this international recognition.”
Reflecting on her journey with the film and working alongside Boman Irani, she said, “The Mehta Boys was a very special film for me. It had been a tremendous honor not only to act but also to be directed by a legend like Boman Irani sir. It was an experience I will always value. To have the opportunity to collaborate with the Oscar-winning writer Alexander Dinelaris at such an early stage of my career was also something I was very grateful for. Boman sir's knowledge of the craft and the passion he brought to the set were so inspiring. With sir around, every day on set was a masterclass. I was incredibly grateful to him for trusting me with this role and allowing me to be part of this journey.”
Shreya further added, “The feeling of having a film that we all worked so hard on be part of an international film festival that celebrated stories from South Asia was one of those dream-come-true moments, especially so early on in my career. To think that The Mehta Boys would be seen by a wider audience filled me with so much gratitude. Having the opportunity to work with such a talented cast and crew, all of whom poured their hearts into this film, made this recognition even more special.”
