Sridevi Demise: Mentor Karan Johar Consoles Devastated Janhvi Kapoor!
Legendary Bollywood actress, Sridevi who started her acting career at the tender age of 54 left for heavenly abode last evening.  Sridevi along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi was in UAE  for a family wedding. The actress was all fit and was seen dancing and enjoying the wedding functions of Boney's nephew Mohit Marwa and even posted several pictures on her Instagram account. Janhvi had given the event a miss and stayed back in Mumbai to shoot for her debut film, Dhadak. 

Janhvi Kapoor was alone in Mumbai, while most of her family members were in Dubai for the wedding. However, her mentor Karan Johar stepped up and made sure she is taken care of in this testing time. According to sources, the filmmaker headed to Janhvi’s house in Lokhandwala and brought her to Anil Kapoor’s bungalow in Juhu last night.bHer uncle Anil was away in Chandigarh, shooting but rest of the Kapoor family that was in Mumbai, all gathered at the Juhu bungalow.
The news was confirmed by Boney's brother Sanjay Kapoor to a leading daily, "Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet,” said Sanjay to a leading daily. 

Sridevi started with south film industry and went on to become Hindi cinema's favourite with her actor par excellence performances in films like Chandni, Lamhe, Sadma, Chaalbaaz, Laadla,  Mr. India, Nagina, Judaai and many more. The actress starred in multiple language films like Tamil,Telugu, Malyalam, Kannada, but despite her weak Hindi diction in her early days, she overcame the language hurdle and went on to becoming Hindi cinema's megastar. She took a hiatus from cinema in early 2000, and made a powerful comeback with Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish in 2012. Her last release was Mom, a thriller, released in 2017.  Sriji worked in more than 300 films.

Sridevi was awaiting the release of her daughter Janhvi's debut film Dhadak, sadly, she passed away too soon.
