Takht Movie: Ranveer Singh And Vicky Kaushal's Roles Are Finally Revealed!
Karan Johar's magnum opus Takht was in the buzz right since its inception. The film stars a star studded cast comprising of Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. The shoot for the film will start next year.

We are all excited to know all the details behind this magnum opus. During Rajeev Masand's annual actors' round table when he quipped the actors on playing a negative character, Ranveer Singh said, "It scared me because I’m not that kind of person" about his role of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. But in the interview Ranveer and Vicky revealed that while Vicky will play the Mughal emporer Aurangzeb, Ranveer will play Dara Shikoh who was Aurangzeb's brother in the film Takht. 
It is also rumored that Anil Kapoor will play Shah Jahan who was Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh's father and Kareena Kapoor Khan will play Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh's sister Jahanara. Alia Bhatt will reportedly play Dara Shikoh's wife. Karan Johar revealed about the film that, "Takht is like the K3G of the Mughal era. But it’s more extreme, there is more betrayal. It has the tropes of court politics. It’s so rich in texture." 

Ranveer Singh will also start shooting for the film '83 in which he will play the role of former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev.
