Well, here is another film to be excited about. We have some spectacular biographies lined up. The trailer of the film The Accidental Prime Minister is finally out which is a biographical drama on the life of former PM Manmohan Singh. The film is based in the controversial book by Sanjaya Baru which was much in the news in the year 2014. The trailer starts with Anupam Kher as Narendra Modi swearing in as the PM of India in 2004 after Congress won the general elections.
The trailer depicts the helplessness of Manmohan Singh who becomes a pawn due to the inside turmoil and politics of the Congress party who just wanted him to represent them. It is Sonia Gandhi played by Suzanne Bernet who is taking the charges instead and is wanting her son Rahul Gandhi to be in power. It also depicts Manmohan Singh's wife encouraging him to speak against this inside politics. Anupam Kher aces this role flawlessly without making it look like a caricature. Akshaye Khanna as the political advisor and the writer is fiery and intense in the trailer.
Some of the scenes look pretty intense in the trailer due to the brilliance of these two powerhouse performers Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna. But it is Anupam Kher who steals the show with his realistic act in this challenging role. Written by Mayank Tewari, the film is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte. The film will be releasing on January 11th.
