The makers of Ramanand Sagar ‘s Ramayan releases 'Jai Mata Vaishno Devi Ki' this Navratri Season

Following the monumental success of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan on Doordarshan, which captivated audiences even during the lockdown, the makers are back with another spiritual offering. In collaboration with Aerika Cineworks, Sagar World Multimedia presents Jai Mata Vaishno Devi Ki, a special Navratri release aimed at rekindling the same magic on television screens.


Produced by Prem Sagar, Neelam Sagar, and Shiv Sagar, along with co-producers Aakash and Aashish Chaudhry, and presented by Shri J.C. Chaudhry, the series will be aired on DD National starting from October 2, 2024. Directed by Dharmesh Shah, the show is set to air at prime slots 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm, with repeat telecasts at 7:00 am and 12:00 pm. Comprising 11 episodes, this devotional tale will be a significant part of Navratri celebrations


The story brings to life the divine connection between Shri Ram and Mata Vaishno Devi, a relationship rooted deep in Indian mythology. This season promises to be particularly special for viewers as the show presents a timeless tale that has been passed down through generations.





The series not only features a compelling narrative but also showcases stunning visuals, having been filmed across scenic locations in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, and Vrindavan. Despite the challenges posed by the post-COVID period, the team completed shooting the series within a tight schedule of 50 days.

Inspired by the renowned book Vaishno Devi Jammu by journalist Shri Suraj Saraf, the show traces the journey of Maa Vaishnodevi from Ratnagiri to her current abode on Trikuta Parbat, where she awaits the arrival of Shri Ram in his ‘Kalki’ avatar. Perfect for family viewing, this devotional series is set to bring the essence of Navratri into homes, blending faith and mythology.

The series is headlined by Ishita Ganguly as Maa Vaishno Devi, Mahi Soni as younger Vaishno Devi, Siddhant Issar as Shri Ram/Krishna/Vishnu/Kalki . Dipika Topiwalaas, Yashodhan Rana, Sandeep Mohan to portray the supporting characters, that are pivotal to the story.
Shiv Sagar, the creative director and screenplay writer, is the grandson of the late Dr. Ramanand Sagar and brings his rich legacy into this project. Having worked on popular shows like Mahima Shani Devi Ki and Jai Bajrang Bali, Shiv continues to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy. He is also working on the upcoming Kakbhusundi Ramayan, set to air daily on DD National next month.
