Salman Khan’s residence has now been covered with blue glass a few months after gunshots were fired at the superstar’s home in Bandra, Mumbai. Reportedly, the blue glass installed outside Khan’s residence is bulletproof. Along with the bulletproof glass, electrical fencing has also been installed for enhanced security. The security around his house has been tightened since the murder of MLA Baba Siddique in October last year. Several photos and videos of Salman’s house featuring the new bulletproof glass have gone viral on social media.

Salman’s home, Galaxy Apartments, is a popular landmark in Bandra. Every year, on occasions like his birthday and Eid, Salman makes an appearance on the balcony with his family to greet the sea of ecstatic fans who come from all over the country just to catch a glimpse of their beloved Bhaijaan.

Last year, on April 14, two men on a bike opened fire outside Salman’s residence while the actor was inside his apartment. After an investigation, Mumbai Police claimed that Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother, Anmol Bishnoi, allegedly conspired to kill the actor. They hired shooters to open fire outside the actor’s home. On the night of the shooting, Salman had slept late after attending a party. He was awakened by the sound of bullets striking his flat’s balcony. Later, Anmol Bishnoi reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack via a Facebook post.

The infamous Bishnoi gang has been threatening Salman Khan for over two decades. The actor was accused of shooting and killing a blackbuck in 1998 during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. The Bishnoi clan was founded by Guru Maharaj Jambaji in 1485, in Jodhpur (Marwar). The Bishnoi community considers blackbucks to be the reincarnation of their founder, Guru Maharaj Jambaji, also known as Guru Jambheshwar.

The Mumbai Police has claimed in its chargesheet that the Bishnoi gang was responsible for the assassination of Baba Siddique. The gang allegedly murdered Siddique due to his closeness to Salman Khan. Siddique and Salman shared a close friendship. Every year, Salman, along with other Bollywood celebrities, used to attend Siddique’s glamorous Iftar party.

On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his first and most-awaited release of the year, Sikandar. Headlined by Salman, Sikandar also stars Pushpa fame Rashmika Mandanna. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, is slated to hit theatres on Eid 2025, in March later this year.
