You'll Not Recognize This TV Actor In Mulk!
Posted on 03 Aug, 2018
Anubhav Sinha's courtroom drama Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor, Tapsee Pannu, Prateik Babbar in leading roles released today & has been garnering positive feedback from the critics & audiences alike. This movie that revolves around a Muslim joint family trying to reclaim its lost honor also marks yet another Bollywood outing of this powerhouse television actor Sumit Kaul who was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's Haider albeit in a cameo.
Theater actor Sumit Kaul who became a household name after television shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan & Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat will be seen in a different avatar for this film. Sumit shares, "I usually prefer a clean shaven look but my character demanded growing a beard & also my hair longer. After wrapping up my scenes for the film, I had to immediately start shooting for my television supernatural show Nazar. I kind of got a good feedback for my new look so I decided to go ahead with the beard. My new show demands me to be in a fitter shape so I'm working on staying lean as I have many fight sequences."
"Change is constant. The fact that I get to experiment with my looks to get into the skin of the character is exciting & is something that keeps me going. I'd go to any lengths to do my job as required. I started my career with theater. You cannot fool audiences when you're live on stage, there's no body double, no VFX. The way you present yourself & your acting & your expressions is all you've got."
